Mobley scores 17 points, grabs 14 rebounds for NKU
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Freshman forward Amy Mobley scored 17 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds Thursday night as the Northern Kentucky University womens basketball team defeated the University of Southern Indiana, 80-51, in Regents Hall.
Junior guard Heather Livingstone added 13 points as the Norse improved to 13-2 overall, 8-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU is ranked No. 8 nationally in the latest WBCA Division II poll and No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region.
Sophomore guard Suzie Smith added 12 points for NKU, which has now beaten USI (10-6, 5-5 GLVC) four consecutive times. The Norse limited USI to just 29.1 percent shooting from the field and won the rebounding battle by a 55-35 margin.
NKU will play host to Southern Illinois at Edwardsville at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Regents Hall, and then hit the road for a Monday night game at Kentucky Wesleyan College at 6:15 p.m.
