Norse improve to 17-4 with road win |

RENSSELAER, Ind. - Dana Schubeler scored a career-high 25 points Thursday night as the Northern Kentucky University womens basketball team defeated Saint Josephs College, 92-70, at Scharf Alumni Fieldhouse. Schubeler, a senior center from Elizabethtown, Ky., scored 13 points in the first half as NKU built a 49-30 lead. Schubeler made 12 of 16 shots from the field and also had five rebounds. Amy Mobley added 18 points as NKU improved to 17-4 overall, 13-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Mobley - who had 16 points in the second half - has now scored in double figures in nine straight games. Kristin Polosky added 14 points as the Norse - ranked No. 10 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll - remained in sole possession of first place in the GLVC standings. Bridget Flanagan finished with 13 points, and Jessica Brock added a career-high 11 points for the Norse. The Norse shot 55.4 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle by a 42-30 margin. NKU now owns 16 consecutive victories over Saint Josephs during the past eight years. NKU has not lost to Saint Josephs since the 1993-94 season, when the Pumas posted a 72-67 victory against the Norse at Rensselaer, Ind. NKU will play a road game at the University of Indianapolis at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday.
