HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Michelle Cottrell and Julie Cowens both scored 15 points Tuesday night as the Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball team defeated the University of Indianapolis, 66-44, in Regents Hall. Amy Mobley added nine points as NKU (7-0, 3-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference) won its 31st consecutive game dating back to last season. The Norse have not lost since Jan. 8, 2000, when Bellarmine posted a 76-72 win against NKU in Regents Hall. NKU, ranked No. 1 nationally in the Division II poll, forced Indianapolis (3-2, 2-1 GLVC) into 27 turnovers. The Norse made 56 percent of their shots from the field during the second half to roll to the victory. |
