NKU TO HOST NCAA II GREAT LAKES REGIONAL

 

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team has received a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament, and the Norse will be the No. 1 seed and host for the Great Lakes Regional next Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 20-21) in Regents Hall.

NKU, which enters the NCAA Division II Tournament with a 30-1 record and 23 consecutive wins, will face No. 4 seed Ferris State University (26-7) at 2 p.m. on Saturday. In the other match, No. 2 seed Northwood University (26-7) will play No. 3 seed Northern Michigan University (28-10) at noon.

The championship match is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday in Regents Hall.

NKU is the defending champion of the Great Lakes Region, and the Norse are seeking their second straight trip to the NCAA II Elite Eight. Northwood, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion, enters the NCAA Division II Tournament with 20 consecutive victories.
