NKU FALLS TO NORTHWOOD IN FOUR

Norse (5-2) lose second consecutive match

MIDLAND, Mich. - Romana Moravkova had 20 kills Saturday as the Northwood (Mich.) University volleyball team defeated Northern Kentucky University, 15-2, 11-15, 15-12, 15-6, in a battle of teams ranked in the Division II Top 25. Dena Zizkova added 14 kills and a .423 hitting percentage as 12th-ranked Northwood sent third-ranked NKU (5-2) to its second loss in two days. The Norse, who defeated Northwood twice last season, were led by Jessica Buroker’s 11 kills. Northwood - which recorded a .455 hitting percentage in the first game - had 11 service aces and a .295 hitting percentage for the match. The Timberwolves also had 21 blocks, compared to seven for NKU. NKU will meet Ferris State at 6 p.m. tonight in the final match of the two-day tournament in Michigan.
