NKU WINS TWICE ON SATURDAY

Gastright, Buroker earn All-Tournament honors for NKU

MARQUETTE, Mich. - Junior outside hitter Bethany Gastright collected 53 kills Saturday as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated both Cal State-San Bernardino and Lock Haven (Pa.) at the Ramada Inn Invitational.

Gastright had 30 kills as NKU posted a 13-15, 15-1, 15-9, 15-4 win over Cal State-San Bernardino. She added 23 more kills in a 15-11, 15-11, 16-14 victory over Lock Haven (Pa.). For the two-day tournament, Gastright totaled 86 kills and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

NKU senior middle hitter Jessica Buroker (25 kills on Saturday) also earned All-Tournament honors for NKU, now 5-0 and ranked No. 3 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.
