NKU POSTS WIN AT IPFW

Gastright records 21 kills as Norse improve to 11-4

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Bethany Gastright recorded 21 kills and four service aces Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, 30-25, 30-22, 30-15.

Luisa Gomez had eight kills and four block assists as NKU improved to 11-4 overall with the victory over former Great Lakes Valley Conference rival IPFW (7-7). The Mastodons are in their first season of competing at the NCAA Division I level.

The Norse, who extended their winning streak to seven with the victory, are ranked No. 22 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II poll.

NKU will play host to Thomas More College at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in Regents Hall.
