HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Denise Barhorst recorded 13 kills and a .684 hitting percentage Wednesday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated the University of Indianapolis, 30-27, 30-23, 30-20, in Regents Hall. Julie Hathorn added 15 kills and a .500 hitting percentage as NKU improved to 7-4 overall, 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Kate O’Toole had 34 assists for the Norse, who are ranked No. 24 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II poll. Bethany Gastright had 14 kills for NKU, which is now 29-0 all-time against Indianapolis. The Norse will travel to St. Louis, Mo., this Friday night for a road match against the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 8 p.m. |
