WELTER EARNS GLVC HONOR

NKU sophomore named GLVC Player of the Week

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Cammi Welter has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in volleyball. Welter, a graduate of McAuley High School in Cincinnati, had 25 kills and 41 digs this past weekend as NKU wrapped up the GLVC Tournament’s No. 1 seed with a pair of road wins. Welter had 16 kills, a .467 hitting percentage and 14 digs in a 3-1 win at Wisconsin-Parkside, and she added nine kills and 27 digs in a 3-0 win at Lewis. A sophomore outside hitter, Welter averaged 12.5 kills in the two wins.
