HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Jessica Buroker had 17 kills and a .696 hitting percentage Friday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated Edinboro (Pa.) University, 15-5, 15-4, 15-10, in Regents Hall. Camilla Welter added 13 kills and three blocks as the Norse (16-4) extended their home winning streak to 45 consecutive matches. The last team to beat NKU in Regents Hall was the University of New Haven, which knocked off the Norse in four games on Nov. 9, 1997. The NCAA Division II all-time record for consecutive homecourt victories is 109, set by New Haven from 1992-97. Bethany Gastright added nine kills for NKU, and Bobbi Casey recorded 36 assists. NKU will play host to Wheeling Jesuit University at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Regents Hall. |
