Gastright reaches 1,500 career kills |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Bethany Gastright had 10 kills Friday night and became just the fourth player in Northern Kentucky University volleyball history to reach 1,500 career kills as the Norse defeated Georgetown (Ky.) College, 30-27, 30-17, 30-17, in Regents Hall. Gastright, a senior outside hitter from Holy Cross High School, now has 1,506 career kills and ranks No. 4 in NKU history. Jenny Jeremiah is NKUs all-time career leader with 1,613 kills. Denise Barhorst added 10 kills and a .625 hitting percentage for NKU, which extended its win streak to 14. The Norse are ranked No. 19 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll. Julie Hathorn had 12 kills and five blocks, and Sara Taylor recorded 42 assists. |
