Southern Indiana to host GLVC Tournament |

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Bethany Gastright had 17 kills and 14 digs Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, 15-11, 15-8, 15-4. Camilla Welter added 14 kills and a .393 hitting percentage as NKU improved to 23-6 overall, 13-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Julie Hathorn had nine kills and four service aces, and Jessica Buroker added 10 kills and eight digs. The University of Southern Indiana clinched the GLVCs No. 1 seed on Saturday with a five-game victory at Quincy University. The Lady Eagles finished 14-2 in the GLVC and will host the GLVC Tournament Nov. 9-11 at Evansville, Ind. NKU is the No. 2 seed and will play No. 7 seed Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at 3:30 p.m. (EST) this Thursday in the first round at Evansville, Ind. |
