BUROKER, JEREMIAH EARN ALL-AMERICA HONORS
Buroker named first team, Jeremiah earns second team honors
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University volleyball players Jessica Buroker and Jenny Jeremiah have both been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II All-America Team.
Buroker, a junior middle hitter and a native of Bluffton, Ohio, led the Great Lakes Valley Conference in hitting percentage (.406), and she ranks No. 3 on the team with 390 kills. Buroker also has 14 solo blocks and 99 assisted blocks. Buroker becomes the first NKU volleyball player to ever receive first team All-America honors by the AVCA.
Jeremiah, a senior outside hitter and a graduate of Seton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, earned second team All-America honors. She leads NKU in both kills (496) and digs (664). Jeremiah, who was named GLVC Player of the Year this season, ranks No. 1 in the nation in digs per game (5.82 dpg). Earlier this season, she was named AVCA National Player of the Week for her performance against Northern Michigan.
