NKU SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER AT QUINCY

Norse now 7-6 overall, 1-1 GLVC

QUINCY, Ill. - Junior pitcher Jamie Moore hurled a three-hit shutout Sunday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University softball team defeated Quincy University, 6-0, in the second game of a doubleheader.

Quincy won the first game, 4-2, as pitcher Sara McMahon recorded the victory for the Hawks.

In the second game, Moore allowed just three hits and had three strikeouts. Kerry McKee and Krista Eldridge both scored a pair of runs for the Norse, who improved to 7-6 overall. NKU is now 1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
