Norse baseball, softball add talented recruits for next season |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The following individuals have signed national letters of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and participate in the intercollegiate athletics program. They are: Michelle Logan, a softball recruit and a 2004 graduate of Fairborn (Ohio) High School. Logan earned 10 letters as a prep athlete at Fairborn, and she was named the teams most valuable player in softball and basketball. She also earned first team Mid-Miami League All-Conference honors in both softball and basketball. Nathan Jones, a baseball recruit and a 2004 graduate of Pendleton County High School. A 6-foot-5 pitcher, Jones struck out 123 batters as a senior and was named the Wildcats most outstanding pitcher. He also had three games of 15 strikeouts his senior season and earned most valuable player honors for Pendleton County. Chris Parsons, a baseball recruit and a 2001 graduate of Rockcastle (Ky.) County High School. Parsons played at St. Catharine College the past two years and batted .350 with seven home runs and 52 runs batted in 2004. Parsons holds the career record at Rockcastle County for RBI (170) and he also set a single-season school record with 65 RBI. |
