Norse softball adds talented recruit

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Jennifer Schamp, a 2003 graduate of Valley View (Ohio) High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and play softball for the Norse. Schamp batted .472 last season and earned second team Ohio All-State honors. She was also named the Southwestern Buckeye League’s Player of the Year and led Valley View to the SBL championship with a 10-0 record. Schamp will join an NKU softball program that has advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament the past two seasons. The Norse posted a 36-17 overall record in 2003.
