Norse pitcher No. 1 with 0.15 earned run average |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University pitcher Krystal Lewallen is ranked No. 1 nationally in earned run average in the latest NCAA Division II softball statistics. Lewallen, a sophomore and a graduate of South Oldham High School, owns a 0.15 earned run average to rank No. 1 nationally in the Division II statistics. She has allowed just three earned runs in 137 2/3 innings pitched this season. Lewallen is sixth nationally in victories with 20, and she is 19th in strikeouts with 9.0 per game. Lewallen has a total of 176 strikeouts this spring. Lewallen is currently 20-1 this spring and will set an NKU single-season record for victories with her next win. She is just the second 20-game winner in Norse softball history and owns a 36-10 career record in two years. NKU is 34-2 and ranked No. 8 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II poll. The Norse are also No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region poll. |
