Norse athletic programs ink talented recruits |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The following individuals have signed national letters of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and participate in the intercollegiate athletics program next year. MENS GOLF Jarrod Sharp, a standout at Grant County High School who will graduate in the spring. Sharp has earned seven letters in golf and finished in the top 25 at the state golf tournament. Clinton Kohls, a golfer at Bishop Brossart High School and the Player of the Year in Northern Kentucky. Kohls won back-to-back regional championships. SOFTBALL Jessica Feldhaus, a standout catcher at Bracken County High School. Feldhaus batted .350 last season and threw out 32 percent of the runners who attempted to steal bases. Candace White, a pitcher at Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln High School. White posted a 0.89 earned run average last season. Michelle Critchelow, a pitcher at Grayson County High School. Critchelow finished with a 0.06 earned run average last spring and also batted .333 for the Cougars. Segille Melton, a shortstop at Bracken County High School who led the Polar Bears to the 2004 district championship. MENS BASKETBALL David McFarland, a 6-foot-2 guard from Boone County High School. McFarland averaged 6.0 points per game as a junior and helped Boone County post a 26-4 record. He also averaged 8.2 assists per game and led the entire Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area in that category. He was also named the most valuable player of the 33rd District Tournament as a junior and is a four-year starter for Boone County.
