NKU Cheerleading 03-04 Season

The NKU Cheerleaders will man two squads (coed and all-girl) during the 03-04 season. We will begin training on Tuesday, March 18th, 2003 with a series of open gyms targeted to prepare for tryouts on May 2-4, 2003.

General Tryout Information
Location

KY Elite North Training Center, Park Hills, KY.
What to Bring to Tryouts

Signed waiver, including proof of insurance (requires parental signature).

Proof of Application to NKU.
Attire

Tshirt/sports-bra and shorts in school colors - black, gold and, white.
Skills Requirements
Coed & All-Girl
Interview

You will be asked a series of questions including which squad(s) you are trying out for.
Stunts

Extension, full down.

Lib, full down.
Stretch, full down.
Optional stunt.

Gymnastics

Standing back handspring.
Standing back tuck.
Standing back handspring back tuck.
Roundoff back tuck.
Roundoff back handspring back tuck.
Optional running tumbling pass.
Cheer

To be taught at tryouts.
Scholarship Information
Scholarships will be awarded to some squad members based off their performance at tryouts and financial need.
03-04 Squad Member Commitments
Attend all practices, NKU basketball games, competitions, exhibitions, fundraisers, and other university required events.
Maintain academic eligibility, as stated by the NKU Athletic Department. (This may include attendance at mandatory squad study halls.)
You are expected to sustain or improve the skills performed at tryouts and learn new skills throughout the season.
Physical (provided and paid for by NKU).
Expenses:
transportation to/from practice.
shoes and socks.
warm-ups.
bag.
bodysuits (girls only).
camp fees (coed only).
camp wear (coed only).
