Anderson sets school record with four assists as Norse get first victory |

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Sophomore Jeff Anderson scored two goals and had a school-record four assists Friday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University mens soccer team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College, 7-1. Sophomore Mohamed Janah added a pair of goals as NKU (1-7, 1-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) won for the first time this season. NKU built a 2-0 halftime lead as Janah and Tony Becker scored goals off assists from Anderson. Anderson scored two goals and added two assists in the second half to break the previous NKU single-match record of three assists, which had been held by both Chad Scott and Mark Finnigan. NKU will return home on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to meet the University of Indianapolis at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder.
