Madden records the shutout as NKU improves to 4-3 |

WILDER, Ky. - Jeff Anderson’s goal with 17 minutes remaining in regulation Sunday afternoon gave the Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over Bellarmine University at the Town & Country Sports Complex. Anderson’s goal, which was assisted by Joaquin Palomeque, broke a scoreless tie at the 72:39 mark. Freshman goalie Nate Madden recorded seven saves and picked up the shutout for NKU, which improved to 4-3 overall, 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse will hit the road Wednesday and meet the University of Charleston (W. Va.) at 7 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
