No. 12 Rangers take over first place in GLVC |

KENOSHA, Wis. - Matt Peterson scored two goals Friday afternoon as the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men’s soccer team defeated Northern Kentucky University, 4-1. Neil Couch and Sher Yang also added goals as 12th-ranked Wisconsin-Parkside handed NKU its first loss in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse (7-5 overall, 4-1 in the GLVC) entered Friday’s match in sole possession of first place in the GLVC. Wisconsin-Parkside improved to 9-0-1 overall, 5-0-1 in the GLVC. The Rangers took a 1-0 lead four minutes into the match on a goal by Couch, and Peterson made it 2-0 with a goal at the 36:10 mark. NKU will face No. 1 Lewis University at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Romeoville, Ill. |
