MISSOURI-ROLLA POSTS A 1-0 VICTORY OVER NKU

WILDER, Ky. - Freshman midfielder John McQueary scored a goal five minutes into the second half Friday night as Missouri-Rolla defeated Northern Kentucky University, 1-0, at Town & Country Sports Complex.

McQueary’s goal came off an assist from Greg Nasland at the 50:18 mark, and UMR (7-5) goalie Todd Wilfling recorded six saves to pick up the shutout. NKU dropped to 6-7-1 with the loss.

The Norse will play host to unbeaten University of Charleston, which is 13-0 after a 4-0 win over Ashland earlier this week, at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Charleston is also ranked No. 5 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.
