HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer players Nate Madden and Chris Thompson have earned All-Great Lakes Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Madden, a graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School, was named first team All-Great Lakes Region. He posted 11 shutouts this season with a 0.53 goals against average. His play in the net helped NKU increase its win total from four last season to 12 this fall.
Madden also was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year this fall.
Thompson, a freshman forward and a graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati, was named third team All-Great Lakes Region. He led NKU with seven goals this season.
Four of Thompson’s goals were game-winners this fall.
