NKU PICKED EIGHTH IN GLVC PRESEASON POLL

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team has been picked eighth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason soccer poll.

The Norse, who finished eighth last season in the GLVC with a 4-6-1 record, posted an 8-10-1 overall mark a year ago. Lewis was picked as the preseason favorite in the GLVC, followed by Southern Illinois at Edwardsville, IPFW and Wisconsin-Parkside in the top four.

NKU opens up the 2000 season this Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with a match against Truman State in the first round of the Missouri-St. Louis Classic. Truman State is ranked 12th nationally in the NCAA Division II preseason poll.
