Brown shoots a 68 in final round to capture medalist honors

BELLINGHAM, Mass. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s golf team rallied from a nine-stroke deficit Wednesday to win the NCAA Division II North Regional championship with a final score of 914 at the par 71 New England Country Club.

Freshman Brandon Brown shot a 3-under-par 68 to capture medalist honors with a three-day total of 219 as NKU edged Bryant (R.I.) College (915) by one stroke for the team championship. Brown, a graduate of Shelby County High School, shot rounds of 76-75-68 for the three-day tournament.
