Norse sophomore named GLVC Player of the Week |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky Universitys Kristin Koralewski has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in volleyball. Koralewski, a sophomore outside hitter from Muskego, Wis., recorded 55 kills, 52 digs and a .490 hitting percentage last week as the Norse posted a 5-0 record and won three matches on the road. NKU, now 18-7 overall, enters this weekend having won 11 consecutive matches and is tied with Lewis University for first place in the GLVC standings with a 9-2 record. Koralewski recorded 17 kills, 20 digs and a .400 hitting percentage last Wednesday as NKU defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference power University of Findlay, 3-1, on the road in a regional showdown. She also had 12 kills, 11 digs, three service aces and a .647 hitting percentage Saturday as NKU posted a 3-0 win over the University of Charleston (W. Va.). For the week, Koralewski averaged a double-double (11.0 kills, 10.1 digs), 1.4 service aces and finished with a .490 hitting percentage. |
