JEREMIAH SETS CAREER RECORD FOR DIGS
AS NKU DEFEATS BELLARMINE COLLEGE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University senior outside hitter Jenny Jeremiah became the schools all-time career leader in digs Tuesday night as NKU defeated Bellarmine College, 15-5, 15-9, 15-9.
Jeremiah, a graduate of Seton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, recorded 21 digs Tuesday night and now has 1,740 career digs. The previous NKU record was held by Kerry Lewin, who had 1,729 career digs.
Jeremiah also added 16 kills for NKU, now 18-1 overall, 8-0 in the GLVC. Junior middle hitter Jessica Buroker added 13 kills, and sophomore outside hitter Bethany Gastright had 11 kills.
NKU, ranked No. 4 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, will return to action this Friday night at 7 p.m. with a match in Regents Hall against Kentucky Wesleyan. The Norse will also face Southern Indiana at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Regents Hall.
