NKUS JEREMIAH EARNS GLVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky Universitys Jenny Jeremiah has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference volleyball Player of the Week.
Jeremiah, a graduate of Seton High School in Cincinnati, recorded 20 kills, 21 digs and a .333 hitting percentage Friday night as the Norse defeated No. 16 Northern Michigan, 15-4, 15-10, 15-12, in a battle of teams tied for the No. 1 spot in the Great Lakes Region poll. Jeremiah had eight key kills in the third game as NKU defeated NMU and extended their overall homecourt win streak to 26 consecutive victories.
It marks the third time this season that Jeremiah has earned the GLVC player of the week honor. The Norse, who are 21-1 overall and ranked No. 4 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, also own a 46-match win streak against GLVC foes in Regents Hall.
