COTTRELL EARNS ACADEMIC HONOR

NKU senior named Verizon Academic All-District IV

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball player Michelle Cottrell has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District IV second team, which was selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. A total of 15 players from District IV earned the honor, which is based upon both academic performance and athletic achievement. Cottrell, a graduate of Boone County High School, is NKU’s all-time career scoring leader with 2,042 points. She averages 18.4 points per game this season. This is the second straight year Cottrell has earned Verizon Academic All-District IV second team honors.
