COTTRELL NAMED GLVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Michelle Cottrell has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week.

Cottrell, a 5-foot-11 sophomore forward and a graduate of Boone County High School, averaged 18.7 points and 7.7 rebounds last week as NKU posted a 3-0 record. Cottrell’s top performance was a 26-point, nine-rebound effort against Lander (S.C.) University.

The Norse won the Perkins/NKU Classic on Saturday with a 66-49 victory against Lake Superior State University. NKU is now 6-0.
