NKU’S CARSKADON FINISHES IN TOP FIVE

Norse runners compete at Hanover Invitational

HANOVER, Ind. - Northern Kentucky University sophomore cross country runner Ryan Carskadon posted a fifth-place finish at the Hanover Invitational on Saturday by completing the eight-kilometer race in 28:06.

Carskadon’s performance helped the NKU men’s team finish seventh with a score of 198. Kevin Alessandro posted a 30th-place finish with a time of 29:18, and Pat Sullivan completed the course in 29:23 for 34th place. DePauw University finished first in the men’s race with a score of 68.

In the women’s race, NKU posted an eighth-place finish in the five-kilometer race with a score of 245. Freshman Lissa Faulkner finished 16th in the race with a time of 19:32. Elaine Koenig posted a 54th-place finish in a time of 20:37. Bellarmine University won the women’s race with a score of 43.
