NKU SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER AT BRESCIA
Norse now 17-11 after split on the road
OWENSBORO, Ky. - Lenny Bays and Chad Lubbe both hit two-run singles during a six-run sixth inning Wednesday as the Northern Kentucky University baseball team rallied to defeat Brescia University, 9-7, in the second game of a doubleheader.
NKU trailed 7-3 going into the sixth inning, but the two-run singles by Bays and Lubbe sparked the comeback. The Norse dropped the first game of the doubleheader by a score of 5-3. NKU managed just four hits in that game.
NKU is now 17-11 and will play host to Lewis University in a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday.
