NKU DUO NAMED ALL-NORTH CENTRAL REGION

Martin, Mason earn All-North Central Region honors

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University baseball players Jason Martin and Matt Mason have been named first team All-North Central Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Martin, a junior catcher and a graduate of Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, collected a school-record 81 hits this season and led NKU with a .397 batting average. Martin also had seven home runs and a team-leading 53 runs batted in. Mason, a senior first baseman and a graduate of Highlands High School, hit a team-leading 11 home runs this season and had 50 RBI. Mason also batted .377 and set an NKU single-season record with 131 total bases. NKU finished with a 38-21 record and finished third in the GLVC Tournament.
