NKU SIGNS TALENTED TRANSFER

Norse baseball signs Frank for 2004 season

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University baseball team has signed outfielder Alex Frank, a transfer from the College of Lake County (Ill.), for the 2004 season.

Frank, a 6-foot, 190-pound outfielder, batted .413 last season with nine home runs for Lake County. A graduate of Grayslake Community High School, Frank earned All-Fox Valley Conference honors in baseball. His best prep statistics were 11 home runs and a .486 batting average for the Rams.

Frank will join an NKU baseball program that posted a 28-24 overall record in 2003. The Norse also finished 15-15 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
