HOGUE SIGNS TO PLAY BASEBALL AT NKU

Ross baseball star to play for NKU in 2005

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Ross High School standout Justin Hogue has signed a national letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and play baseball next season.

Hogue, an outfielder and a 2004 graduate of Ross High School, batted .408 as a senior with 10 doubles, three triples and three home runs. He also collected 29 stolen bases in 30 attempts and scored 36 runs last season. In addition, Hogue finished with a .737 slugging percentage and walked 22 times in 26 games.

Hogue earned first team All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference honors as a junior and senior. He also was named honorable mention All-City as a senior and earned two letters in football for the Rams. During his senior year, Hogue rushed for 1,582 yards and was named first team All-FAVC and second team All-Southwest Ohio.

Hogue will join an NKU baseball program that posted a 37-25 record and captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference last season. The Norse also advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the second time in three years.
