NKU BASEBALL SIGNS LOCAL RECRUIT

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Tommy White, a 2002 graduate of Simon Kenton High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and play baseball. White, an All-Region center fielder the past two seasons at Simon Kenton, batted .520 as a senior. He also pitched for the Pioneers and struck out 15 batters in one game. In addition, he tossed a pair of one-hitters while on the mound for Simon Kenton. White will join an NKU baseball team that posted a 37-24 record and captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship last season. The Norse also finished with a No. 21 national ranking in the NCAA Division II poll.
