NKU SPLITS TWO GAMES ON MONDAY

NKU defeats Lewis, 4-3, in 11 innings; Norse lose 4-1 decision to Saint Joseph’s

RENSSELAER, Ind. - The Northern Kentucky University baseball team split a pair of games on Monday. The Norse defeated Lewis University, 4-3, in 11 innings in the first game, but NKU dropped a 4-1 decision to Saint Joseph’s College in the nightcap.

The NKU-Lewis game was originally scheduled for April 2 at Highland Heights, Ky., but rain forced it to be postponed three weeks ago. The two teams met Monday in a makeup game at Saint Joseph’s College’s Gil Hodges Field prior to the NKU-Saint Joseph’s contest.

NKU is now 22-23 overall, 6-14 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
