Norse get standout soccer player from South Florida |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Danielle Aldrich, who scored 10 goals and had five assists while playing womens soccer at the University of South Florida the past two seasons, has transferred to Northern Kentucky University. Aldrich, a 5-foot-7 forward/midfielder, scored four goals and had three assists this past season for South Florida. Two years ago, Aldrich earned a spot on the freshman All-Conference Team (Conference-USA) after scoring six goals and adding two assists. A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Aldrich is a 2000 graduate of Boca Ciega High School. She earned four letters in soccer at Boca Ciega and led the Pirates in scoring four straight years. Aldrich will join an NKU womens soccer program that has won four consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference championships and advanced to three straight NCAA Division II Final Fours. In 2000, NKU finished as national runner-up after dropping a 2-1 decision to the University of California at San Diego. This past season, the Norse finished 22-2 and were eliminated in the Final Four.
