LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kelsey Wesaw recorded 14 kills and a .687 hitting percentage Tuesday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team posted a 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 victory against Bellarmine in Knights Hall.

Kim Nemcek added eight kills and attacked at a .727 clip for NKU, which won its 12th consecutive match and improved to 21-3 overall. The 21st-ranked Norse hit .449 as a team and upped their Great Lakes Valley Conference record to 11-1.

NKU hit .556 in the second set and swept the match by attacking at a .500 clip in the third stanza. Wesaw added four blocks, while Nemcek finished with three blocks.

Kristina Eisenmenger finished with 11 kills and hit .333 as the Norse defeated Bellarmine for the 32nd consecutive time. NKU is now 56-8 all-time against Bellarmine, which dropped to 6-10 overall this season, 6-6 in the GLVC.

Natalie Forbes collected 37 assists and eight digs for NKU, which has not lost to Bellarmine since the 1992 GLVC Tournament. Noelle Peterson added six kills and hit .333.

NKU participates this weekend at the GLVC/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover. NKU will meet three GLIAC schools - Grand Valley State, Northern Michigan and Saginaw Valley State - in the two-day event that is being held at Indianapolis, Ind.

NKU is the No. 2 seed from the GLVC. The Norse meet GLIAC No. 3 seed Northern Michigan at 2:30 p.m. and No. 1 seed Grand Valley State at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

NKU concludes the event Saturday by facing GLIAC No. 5 seed Saginaw Valley State at 1 p.m.
