HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University volleyball players Liz Holmes and Kristina Eisenmenger have each been selected to the Daktronics All-Great Lakes Region second team.

Holmes, a junior middle hitter and a graduate of Mercy High School in Cincinnati, led NKU in kills (427), hitting percentage (.396) and blocks (78) this season. She also had 285 digs as NKU posted a 20-13 record.

In addition, Holmes was tabbed first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference this year and led the league in hitting percentage. She will enter next season with 1,295 career kills, which currently ranks No. 8 in Norse history.

Eisenmenger, a sophomore right-side hitter and a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, recorded 420 kills and hit .340 this season. She also finished with 61 blocks as NKU reached the 20-win plateau for the 14th consecutive season.

Hillsdale’s Taryn Rudland was named Great Lakes Region Player of the Year. Rudland was also the 2006 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

The Daktronics volleyball teams are selected by the sports information directors in each of the nation’s eight regions.
