HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University volleyball player Tristen Dye has earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV first-team honors.

Dye, a junior outside hitter from Millersburg, Ohio, was named All-Great Lakes Valley Conference this season and finished with 399 kills and a .282 hitting percentage. The West Holmes High School graduate also led NKU with 314 digs and was named GLVC Player of the Week in late October.

An accounting major with a 4.0 grade point average, Dye is now on the ballot for Academic All-America honors. To be eligible for Academic All-District and All-America accolades, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

The student-athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and completed at least one year at the institution.

The teams are picked in a vote by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
