NKU SIGNS RECRUITS FOR 2006-07 - Dec. 30, 2005
Prep standouts sign to attend NKU next fall
 

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The following individuals have signed national letters of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University and participate in the intercollegiate athletics program:

VOLLEYBALL

•Nicole Baker, a middle hitter from St. Henry High School. Baker helped the Crusaders win the regional championship in volleyball as a senior. St. Henry also advanced to the state championship match and finished runner-up to Louisville Assumption.

•Megan Dooley, a defender/outside hitter from St. Henry High School. Dooley was the team leader in service aces as a junior and was named to the state all-tournament team. She also played a key role in St. Henry’s regional championship this past fall.

GOLF

•Hannah Lindauer, from Waynesville (Ohio) High School. Lindauer led the team to an unbeaten season (13-0) and was medalist for all matches her senior year.

•Nicole Hess, from Upper Arlington High School. Hess led the Golden Bears to the Ohio Capital Conference championship and a 24-0 record in 2005.

•Chris Isenberg, from Shelby County High School. Isenberg was team most valuable player, and he owned a nine-hole average of 36.7 for the Rockets.

BASEBALL

•Kevin Jordan, a pitcher from Louisville Eastern High School. Jordan made a school-record 21 appearances and had a 1.43 earned run average as a junior. He also picked up a school-record three saves last spring.

CROSS COUNTRY

•Jenna Siemer, from St. Henry High School. Siemer helped St. Henry win three state titles in cross country.

•Robert Lakes, from Badin High School. Lakes qualified for the state meet as an individual as a junior.

SOFTBALL

•Karen Simmons, a pitcher from Loveland High School. Simmons is a three-time All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference selection and holds school record for wins (42), strikeouts (622) and innings pitched (433). She also owns the career record for runs batted in with 74.
