NKU STANDOUTS NAMED ALL-GLVC - Nov. 12, 2005
NKU’s Eisenmenger named GLVC Freshman of the Year

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Four Northern Kentucky University volleyball players have been selected All-Great Lakes Valley Conference by the league coaches.

Sophomore middle hitter Liz Holmes and freshman right-side hitter Kristina Eisenmenger each were named first team All-GLVC. Junior setter Andrea Lanham and sophomore outside hitter Tristen Dye were both named second team.

In addition, Eisenmenger was named GLVC Freshman of the Year.

Holmes, a graduate of Mercy High School in Cincinnati, leads NKU in kills (471), hitting percentage (.351), blocks (88) and service aces (65). She also has 315 digs this season.

Eisenmenger, a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, joins Holmes as the second straight NKU player to earn the GLVC Freshman of the Year honor. She has 375 kills and a .325 hitting percentage this season.

Lanham, also a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, ranks second in the GLVC in assists (12.11 apg). Lanham currently ranks second in school history in career assists with 3,477. During the first round of the GLVC Tournament last Thursday, Lanham served up a school-record nine consecutive aces against Lewis.

Dye, a graduate of West Holmes High School, in Millersburg, Ohio, has recorded 370 kills and 14 aces this season.
