HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Brandi Doss continued adding to her awards when she was selected to the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Division II All-America third team.

Additionally, Amie Noll and Lauren Franzen were each selected to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region second team, while Doss garnered first-team honors in the region.

Doss was also selected to the Daktronics All-America third team, as well as a first-team All-Midwest Region selection and an All-Great Lakes Valley Conference first-team honoree.

Doss mustered one goal and 15 assists during the 2008 season, almost tripling her career assist total over the course of the year. Doss ranked second nationally in assists per game at 0.75.

Noll, a junior from Edgewood, Ky., was an integral part of NKU's defensive presence over the course of the year, and helped the Norse hold opponents to just 18 goals in 20 games during the 2008 season. Amie was also a Daktronics second-team All-Region selection.

Franzen, a senior from Alexandria, Ky., led the well-balanced Norse attack with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. Franzen was one of 10 NKU players to claim at least three goals on the year.

The honors are the first All-American awards for an NKU player since Kristen Votapek's selection to the NSCAA's All-America second team in 2005. Votapek ranks second all-time at NKU in goals per game (0.63) and assists per game (0.6).

NKU finished the 2008 season with a 16-4 record and qualified for its eighth NCAA Tournament, and its first in three seasons. The Norse ranked 19th nationally in scoring offense, averaging 2.7 goals over the course of the year.
