HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team will play a non-conference road game at Findlay this Friday at 4 p.m.

NKU resumes Great Lakes Valley Conference play Sunday when Bellarmine visits the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky., for a noon contest.

The Norse are ranked 19th nationally in the NCAA Division II poll after posting a 4-1 win over Wisconsin-Parkside last Sunday. NKU, which has won three straight games, is 7-2 overall, 5-1 in the GLVC.

Findlay, a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, owns a 4-4 overall record going into Friday’s contest. NKU is 4-0 all-time against the Oilers.

Jayme Light, Kristen Votapek, Alex Armstrong and Catie Walton all scored goals to lead NKU past two-time defending GLVC champion Wisconsin-Parkside. Light also added an assist for the Norse and was named GLVC Player of the Week on Monday.

Votapek is tied for third in the GLVC with six goals, while Light and teammate Lauren Franzen are tied for 10th place with five goals each. Votapek is third in assists with six, and she is second in points per game at 2.00.
