FINDLAY, Ohio - Kristen Votapek scored three goals and added an assist Friday as the Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team extended its winning streak to four with a 5-0 victory over Findlay.

Amy Law added two goals as NKU improved to 8-2 overall with the non-conference road win. Votapek netted two first-half goals as the Norse took a 2-0 lead at the break.

Votapek, a senior and a graduate of Amelia High School, notched the hat trick two minutes into the second half when she finished off a pass from Lauren Franzen to give NKU a 3-0 advantage. Law capped the scoring with a pair of goals for the Norse, who are ranked 19th nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.

Votapek now has nine goals this season and leads NKU with 25 total points.

Sam Westerling and Kelly Bare combined for the shutout. Findlay - which is now 0-5 all-time against NKU - dropped to 4-5 overall this season.

NKU resumes Great Lakes Valley Conference play Sunday when Bellarmine visits the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky., for a noon contest.
