OWENSBORO, Ky. - LaTasha Henry and Laura McClintic combined for 50 points as the Kentucky Wesleyan women’s basketball team posted a 74-66 win over Northern Kentucky University on Thursday night.

Henry scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Kentucky Wesleyan, which improved to 13-11 overall, 7-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Henry was 10-for-19 from the field and 10-for-14 from the free-throw line.

McClintic knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points as the Panthers avenged a 65-44 loss at NKU last month.

Angela Healy scored 24 points to lead NKU, which dropped to 18-7 overall, 11-6 in the GLVC. The Norse led by as many as eight points in the first half, but Kentucky Wesleyan rallied to tie the game at 35-all at intermission.

Kentucky Wesleyan used an 18-4 run early in the second half to turn a 38-36 deficit into a 54-42 lead with 13:35 left when McClintic buried a 3-pointer. The Panthers took advantage of 14 offensive rebounds for a 15-3 edge in second-chance points.

The loss knocked NKU out of first place in the GLVC East Division behind Indianapolis, which defeated Lewis on Thursday. The Greyhounds are 11-5 in the GLVC and lead NKU by one-half game.

Cassie Brannen scored 14 points for NKU, which will hit the road next week for a Thursday game at Wisconsin-Parkside. Karen Brackman added nine points for the Norse, who finish out their regular-season schedule March 1 at Lewis.
