HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball team has added a home game with Loyola (Ill.) on Dec. 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Loyola, located in Chicago, Ill., is an NCAA Division I program and a member of the Horizon League. The Ramblers posted a 7-21 record last season.

It will mark the first time that a Division I opponent has played in Regents Hall since Dec. 8, 1993, when the NKU women defeated Morehead State, 79-60. The Eagles also visited Highland Heights in both 1990 and 1992 and split those two contests with the Norse.

The NKU women played host to Louisville during the 1989-90 season and defeated the Cardinals, 71-60, in Regents Hall. The previous season, NKU handed Xavier a 64-43 loss in Regents Hall.

NKU finished last season with a 16-12 overall record, and the Norse were 13-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU posted an 11-4 record in Regents Hall last season.

NKU welcomes back three starters and adds an impressive group of newcomers for the 2005-06 season. Junior post player Karmen Graham (11.2 points per game) is the top returnee for the Norse.

The Norse begin the 2005-06 campaign Nov. 16 with a 7 p.m. home game with Wilberforce (Ohio).
