Karmen Graham |
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Karmen Graham has been
named to the Kodak/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association
NCAA Division II All-America Team as an honorable mention selection.
Graham, a 6-foot-1
junior forward, averaged 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this
season. A native of Kettering, Ohio, Graham shot 54.2 percent from
the field and made 84.3 percent of her free throws as NKU finished
with a 27-5 record and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Graham was
named first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference this season and
All-Great Lakes Region. She also was selected to the GLVC’s
all-tournament team as the Norse captured the conference championship.
Graham will
begin her senior year with 908 career points. She scored in double
figures 25 times this season, with a career-best 31 points against
West Virginia Wesleyan on Dec. 19.
Jennifer Harris
of Washburn (Kan.) was named the 2006 NCAA Division II National
Player of the Year by the WBCA.
